Applicants with a strong background in molecular cell biology, animal models and imaging, and who are independent are encouraged to contact the PI. Applicants must be motivated to perform at the highest level. Recent PhDs who are legally authorized to work in the US are preferred.
Graduate students can enter the lab via the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Integrated Biomedical Sciences Program at the School of Medicine or through the Bioengineering program. Prior laboratory research experience and entry as a summer Copenhaver rotation student (Dept. of Chem. only) is strongly preferred.
Undergraduates from all science departments at USC will be considered. Sophomores and Juniors will be given preference. A typical undergraduate in the lab will volunteer/take research for credit the first year and is expected to complete an undergraduate research project in subsequent years.
